How to Set Up Allowed Bluetooth Devices

You can configure specific Bluetooth devices (such as your vehicle’s hands-free system) to automatically trigger the start and end of a driving journey in the app. This is useful if you want the app to begin recording only when you connect to a particular Bluetooth device, like your car.

Note: The On Bluetooth option is available only with the Android app.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Ensure Recording Mode is Set to “On Bluetooth”.
The “Allowed Bluetooth Devices” setting is only available when the recording mode is set to On Bluetooth.
If this setting is grayed out, you need to switch the recording mode first.
See how to change the recording mode

  2. Open the App Menu
Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner of the screen.

  3. Go to Settings
    From the dropdown, select Settings.

  4. Navigate to Automatic Recording
In the Settings menu, find and tap on Automatic recording.

  5. Tap on Allowed Bluetooth Devices
Once you have the recording mode set to On Bluetooth, this option will be enabled. Tap Allowed Bluetooth Devices to view a list of paired Bluetooth devices.

  6. Select Your Preferred Devices
Choose the Bluetooth devices you want to allow. The app will then automatically start recording when it connects to any of these selected devices, and stop recording when it disconnects.
