Sometimes your Android MyCarTracks app stops recording your drivings and even changing the recording mode doesn’t fix the issue. You can try to clear app data.
Follow these steps to Clear App Data:
Step 1: Open the Settings application on your device.
Step 2: Head Over to Apps Menu.
Step 3: Choose Installed Applications or See all apps.
Step 4: Find the MyCarTracks app.
Step 5: Select it, Move to the Storage tab or menu item.
Step 6: Hit Clear Storage/Clear App Data.
If clearing app data didn’t help try to reinstall the app.
If reinstallation didn’t work and the app still doesn’t record in any other recording mode then your GPS module or Android is probably broken. You can try to factory reset your device and if even this doesn’t work then you would probably have to change your Android.
